My work
As the Public Relations Strategist I was mainly responsible for media relations and written content (press releases, articles, web copy and social media captions). Below are three press release samples displaying a variety of content (ranging from celebratory sponsorship to technical).
About HUH
Howard University Hospital is one of America's best hospitals. The rich tradition of leadership and service at Howard University Hospital (HUH) dates back to 1862. Housed in converted army barracks, it was initially called Freedmen’s Hospital and provided a refuge where ex-slaves received the medical care they were denied elsewhere.
A private, nonprofit institution, HUH is the nation's only teaching hospital located on the campus of a historically Black university. It offers medical students a superior learning environment and opportunities to observe or participate in ground-breaking clinical and research work with professionals who are changing the face of health care. Washingtonian and Black Enterprise magazines have identified physicians affiliated with the hospital as leaders in a vast range of specialties.
My Work
As the Public Relations and Marketing Social & Digital Media Coordinator in a two-person marketing team, I led creative content for the hospital’s public relations and marketing efforts. My role spanned photography, graphic design, social media management, podcast production, and creative direction for large-scale projects.
Below are samples of my written and visual work, including videos I directed, photos I captured, and a custom logo I designed for the hospital’s internal wellness committee, where I also served as team lead.
About Howard University
Howard University, established in 1867, one of the nation's leading historically black research universities, is dedicated to educating students from diverse backgrounds at the undergraduate, graduate and professional levels. Guided by our extraordinary cadre of faculty, students are immersed in cutting-edge scholarship and innovation including nanotechnology, human genome research, atmospheric science, as well as the social sciences, arts and humanities.
My Work
While employed at Howard University Hospital, I was a partner with the university’s social media team. During large events like homecoming, freshman move-in day and graduation I would work with the team to map, plan, capture and edit content for the Instagram account. Featured below are viral Instagram posts I co-captured and edited for 2022 Homecoming and 2023 Graduation.
About Kendrick’s Barbershop
Kendrick’s Barbershop was founded and started by Master Barber Marquis Kendrick, with a passion for barbering and a focus on providing great customer service and grooming experience.
My Work
As a freelance creative, I provide writing, photography, videography, graphic, and web design services. Clients come to me with a need, and I craft a plan to help them reach their goals. Kendrick’s Barbershop, a Maryland-based business, initially approached me for web design. After our consultation, it became clear that what they really needed was a full brand refresh. In just six weeks, we brought that vision to life.
Everything on the website—except for the logo—is my original work.

About McCray Movers
McCray Movers is a Mississippi Gulf Coast based moving company that is growing exponentially. Providing a variety of services from residential to commercial moves across the nation—they are committed to treating each move with the utmost care.
My Work
The owner of McCray Movers reached out for website support, as he had been relying solely on Facebook to connect with new and existing customers. After our consultation, it became clear that he needed more than just a landing page, he needed a full website to serve as his digital home base. Within four weeks and brief travels, I delivered a custom website, and shortly after, he returned to request a business card design to match his new brand presence.
